 Network Cabling:  Copper Based Systems (10101)


Students in the Network Technologies course will master the basics of copper cabling, installation, construction, and troubleshooting using our patented workstations.  Up-to-date industry standards and real world workplace simulations are also a large part of the curriculum.  Certification:  Network Cabling Specialist Copper Systems.
Items found in the Cabling class will be: Twisted pair cabling systems, Safety and Lightening protection, Constructing/testing 4-pair cabling systems, Coaxial cables, cabling topologies, and standards, Residential cabling topologies and standards, Placement of cable systems both residential and commercial, and local area networks.

In the house wiring portion of the class the students will be expected to work with the National Electrical Code book and correctly wire the following devices;  regular snap switches, 3-way switches, 4-way switches, duplex receptacles, split duplex receptacles, Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters, lights and doorbells.

Intro. of Information Technology/Electrical (10003)

This introductory system teaches all aspects of connectivity methods in today's world.  Learn the history, theory, and transmission mediums of communications, as well as Smart Homes technologies found in homes and businesses.
