Construction Trades I(17002)
Students will gain insight into the career of construction trades by developing practical skills such as:
Safety on the jobsite
Construction math
Use of hand/power/pneumatic tools
Basic blueprint reading
Basic land surveying techniques
Building construction
Basic Plumbing and Electrical
Concrete application
Employability skills and career exploration required to succeed in the construction industry.
Complete hands on building projects both in and out of the classroom
Introduction to Architecture & Construction (17006)
This course will prepare students to delve into the architecture and construction industry. This course covers all three construction career pathways offered, including architecture/drafting along with cabinetry and building construction.
Students will explore different topics where they will be able to complete hands on activities to enhance the learning process.
